Gus Bassani, PharmD
PCCA Chief Executive Officer
Serving as PCCA’s CEO since April 2025, Gus joined PCCA in September 2002, and has contributed extensively to the organization’s scientific, technical and strategic pursuits — most recently as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer. Beyond his core responsibilities, Gus actively participates in legislative, regulatory and public affairs initiatives.

Erin Michael, MBA, MS, CPhT, FAPC

A dedicated team member at PCCA since 2006, Erin has held several key positions including Territory Manager, Member Development Specialist, CPMS Sales and Marketing Consultant, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Outside Sales, and most recently, Director of Member Engagement. Prior to PCCA, Erin served as General Manager for a multi-location independent pharmacy in Northern California.

Katie Albers, CPhT, FAPC
Impact Compounding
Katie is a part-owner, Operations Manager and Compounding Technician at Impact Compounding in Tipp City, Ohio, where she focuses on prescription compounding, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, pharmacy operations, marketing and provider relations. She has been featured on PCCA’s Tech Talk Podcast and was honored as PCCA’s 2025 USA Compounding Technician of the Year.

Daniel Banov, RPh, MS
PCCA
The leader of our innovations in base technology, Daniel joined PCCA in 2011 and is currently vice president of research and development. He has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in preformulation/formulation/reformulation of a variety of dosage forms, specializing in pharmaceutical solids, liquids and semisolids. He has worked extensively on the development of novel techniques for skin-permeation enhancement.

Matt Brensel, PharmD
ScriptWorks Pharmacy
As a third-generation compounding pharmacist, Matt is Vice President of ScriptWorks Pharmacy in Walnut Creek, California. He enjoys the opportunity to merge his passion for pharmacy and veterinary medicine by assisting local veterinarians with some of their most difficult infectious disease cases.[JF3.1] Matt received PCCA’s George Roentsch New Innovator Award in 2025.

Scott Brunner, CAE
Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding
Scott has served as CEO of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) since 2019. APC is the voice for pharmacy compounding, representing compounding pharmacists and technicians in both 503A and 503B settings, as well as prescribers, educators, researchers and suppliers. Formerly, he was Senior Vice President Communications and External Relations for the National Community Pharmacists Association.

Deborah Clark, RPh, FACVP
PCCA
Deborah became a PCCA clinical compounding pharmacist in 2009. Her areas of interest include veterinary compounding, hormone replacement, pain/wound care, pediatrics and dermatology. She frequently speaks at PCCA symposiums and is a Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists. Deborah is a UNC Chapel Hill pharmacy graduate and is licensed in North Carolina.

Sebastian Denison, RPh
PCCA
Sebastian joined PCCA as a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist in 2011, having practiced nonsterile compounding for 11 years in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He works with both the U.S. and Canadian education teams, training pharmacists, technicians and students. Sebastian helps community pharmacies and health systems to achieve regulatory compliance and implement best practices.[JF4.1] He has collaborated on projects with the LDN Research Trust and been a guest on the LDN Radio Show, thanks to his interest in therapeutic applications for low-dose Naltrexone.

Isha Gupta, PharmD, MBA
HatchRx Compounding Pharmacy
Isha’s pharmacy in Long Island, New York, operates on the idea that modern innovation and personalized medicine should work hand-in-hand to meet each person’s unique health needs. Focused on patient education, she strives to empower patients to take control of their health through customized solutions. Isha received PCCA’s George Roentsch New Innovator Award in 2024.

Lizzie Harbin
Precision Health Holdings
Lizzie is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Precision Health Holdings, the strategic holding company uniting PCCA, Eagle Analytical and Wilcrest Pharma. She leads cross-entity strategic planning, facilitates critical conversations and ensures the right people are engaged at the right time to drive impact. In addition, she serves as the inaugural President of the RISE Institute for Compounding.

Beau Harger, PharmD
PCCA
Beau joined PCCA in January 2015 as a full-time clinical compounding pharmacist, after serving part-time for the previous year and a half. Many members will recognize him as a speaker and lab instructor from PCCA training events. Previously, Beau worked as a compounding pharmacist for 15 years, including 8 years as the pharmacist in charge of Nucara Compounding Pharmacy in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and taught pharmacology at William Carey College in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Tricia Heitman, PharmD
PCCA
Since 2000, Tricia has been a full-time clinical compounding pharmacist at PCCA, assisting pharmacists in the US and Canada and speaking at PCCA symposiums. Tricia’s areas of interest include pediatric compounding (including autism treatment), women’s health, GI health and pain management. She is a University of Houston College of Pharmacy graduate and completed a PCCA PharmD Residency.

Doug Hoey, RPh, MBA
National Community Pharmacists Association
Since 2011, Doug has served as CEO of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), which represents nearly 19,400 pharmacy small businesses. He is a licensed pharmacist in Oklahoma, Virginia and Texas, and previously practiced in a variety of community pharmacy settings, including his own family’s pharmacy. Doug is widely quoted by media as an industry expert on community pharmacy practice issues.

Dawn Ipsen, PharmD, FAPC, FACA, FACVP

As pharmacist and owner of Kusler’s Compounding Pharmacy in Snohomish, Washington, and Clark’s Compounding Pharmacy in Bellevue, Washington, Dawn is a member of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding and Washington State Pharmacy Association. She is also a Clinical Instructor for the University of Washington School of Pharmacy and an Affiliate Faculty Member for Bastyr University. Dawn received the David Sparks Advocacy Award in 2025.

Peter Koshland, PharmD
Koshland Pharm: Custom Compounding Pharmacy
Peter opened Koshland Pharm in 2009 in San Franscisco and is known for his passion for speaking about health topics to both medical and general audiences. Peter also advocates for our industry, consistently engaging in dialogue about regulatory standards, quality assurance and patient care. In 2025, Peter was honored as PCCA’s USA Compounding Pharmacist of the Year.

Ranel Larsen, PharmD
PCCA
Ranel became a PCCA a clinical compounding pharmacist in 2014. Prior to joining PCCA, she worked in retail pharmacy for three years and then operated a compounding-only pharmacy for more than four years. Her areas of interest include HRT for men and women, veterinary medicine, pain management and dermatology. She is a graduate of the Roseman University School of Pharmacy.

Matt Lester, RPh, MBA, BCSCP
PCCA
Before Matthew joined PCCA as a clinical compounding pharmacist in 2022, he was COO of Oakdell Pharmacy, where he specialized in infusion, long-term care, consulting and disease management. With a passion for patient care, Matthew is formerly a member of the NCPA Compounding Steering Committee and currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy schools including The University of Texas College of Pharmacy, Duquesne and Xavier, among others. He also holds advanced certifications in sterile compounding and hormone replacement.
